As the world and the India battles the deadly virus COVID-19, former Andhra Pradesh CM, Chandrababu Naidu urged the state Govt. to use the digital platform for effective governance. So far 338 cases of COVID-19 has been registered in the state of which 4 have succumbed to the virus while 6 people have recovered. Since the country has been in the lockdown, communication along with traveling has taken a hard hit.

Chandrababu Naidu is the chief of the Telugu Desam Party and one of the prominent figures in AP politics. Not just that, he has been an active part of Indian politics. Given the crisis faced by the country and state, he has urged the government to go digital. He has asked people to avoid touching things like the biometric devices as it can spread the infection. Fight Against COVID-19

Just like the rest of the country, the state of Andhra Pradesh is also facing the crisis. The TDP chief asked the state govt to co-operate and work to focus on the sanitization and safety of the public. “This is not a time for the state government to criticise the Opposition, but it should rather focus on the sensitisation of every individual to save them and save their families, and thereby save the community from the impending danger,’’ said the TDP chief

He has asked the govts and various organizations to use the digital platform for provide services to different section of the society. Since the Social Distancing is one of the few ways of avoiding the virus,his call for using the online platform for communication seems viable. Even though he has always been at loggerheads with the ruling party on various issues, he has some constructive suggestions for the govt to fight this pandemic.

Earlier he had accused the ruling party of trying to harm the image of N Chandrababu Naidu over an income tax raid in the state. His party has accused that Mr. Naidu has been a victim of false campaign where he had been linked to tax controversy. It was stated that Rs 2,000 cr was found from a former personal secretary of Chandrababu Naidu. Chandrababu Naidu Asks Government to Provide Aid

He has been very vocal about the condition of the state including the rising cases of COVID-19. He has asked the govt to provide Rs. 5000 aid to the poor people and come clean on the number of cases in the state.

Citing examples from other states, Chandrababu Naidu has suggested the govt should provide testing to identify the people who are COVID-19 positive. He gave the example of the others stated of India and said that Kerala conducted 10,200 Covid-19 tests, while Karnataka has 5,600 test and Rajasthan had 12,000 so far. He said no such concrete data is present in Andhra Pradesh. He also said that the pandemic needs to be taken serious before the situation gets out of hand.

He also gave the example of Delhi and asked the Andhra Pradesh govt to provide Rs. 5000 aid to poor families. He also vouched for the 18 lakh families who recently lost the ration cards after it was canceled. He also demanded that the employees get paid full salary

Corruption has become a huge issue in the state with Chandrababu Naidu accusing the state government of being corrupt. The blame game between the ruling and opposition parties has been there since the state was divided. Increase number of testing labs – Chandrababu Naidu

Once again criticizing the govt for its poor effort in controlling the COVID-19 spread, Chandrababu Naidu has urged the state govt to increase the number of testing labs. He said that the number of testing labs in the state is very few compared the magnitude of the situation. In this regard, he asked the Govt to increase the number of testing labs to help identify the people carrying the infection.

Chandrababu Naidu has linked the sudden surge in the number of COVID-19 cases to poor testing and lack of infrastructure to deal with the situation. He compared how the Andhra Pradesh has just 4 labs against 23 in Maharashtra, 17 in Tamil Nadu, 15 in Telangana, 15 in Delhi and 12 in Kerala.Who is 420 in AP

He has been very critical of how things are in the state and the COVID-19 has made his urge the government to take all the action needed to fight the pandemic. Pushing for the digital platforms, he asked the Govt to hold an all-party meeting online so that they can all participate and suggest ways to tackle the issue of COVID-19.

He also expressed concern over people who returned from the Tablighi Jamaat’s ill-fated convocation in Delhi. He suggested that the Govt take all the measures to track down the attendees to stop the virus from spreading even further. Along with that he also asked people to restore to traditional practices like yoga, pranayama and regular exercises to stay healthy and fit during this lockdown.

His criticism of the ruling party is consistent from his previous stand. He had also need accused of being corrupt from the ruling party. He has been in many controversies from corruption to cases filed against him. Nevertheless, the concern over the Coronavirus is serious and the state of Andhra Pradesh is dealing with it like the rest of country and the world.
